Using my QY70 and QY100 sequencers on a regular has resulted in occasional episodes of neck pain. In the back of my mind I have been telling myself I would design a 3D printed angled mounting box for each device. But I just haven’t found the time. Turns out a perfect solution has been sitting on my desk all this time.
The Flexible Tripod
Using a small tripod with flexible arms, I was able to rest my QY100 at a comfortable viewing angle that did not strain my neck after hours of play.
The tripod is resting on it’s side and the weight of the QY100 is enough to keep the setup from sliding around on my desk, or from tipping over.
The tripod itself was very inexpensive, about $15. So this might be one of the cheapest mounting solutions out there, and I can’t recommend it enough. Keep your necks safe!
