    Parameters

    Data Filer

Save and load raw .syx SysEx files to/from your computer, and push or pull them to/from the QY100 - a simple file librarian for whatever Bulk Dump data the device sends or accepts. MIDI files (.mid, .midi, .smf, .kar, .rmi) are converted into a QY song when pushed, and original QY Data Filer .blk backups load as regular bulk data. Pushing a single song or pattern asks which slot to write it to; Export MIDI saves a song as a MIDI file.

      Pull From Device

Switches the QY100 into bulk mode, sends a Bulk Dump Request (Data List Table 1-9) for the chosen data, records whatever comes back into a new entry above, then switches bulk mode back off - a single request returns the whole multi-block Song/Pattern, but the device won't answer at all without bulk mode on first.

      Device Memory

Reads which songs and user styles are stored on the device, their names and how much memory each uses. Pull copies a song into the file list above; Clear permanently erases a slot.

          Instructions

Your browser will prompt for MIDI device access the first time you connect - this page needs that permission allowed, or it can’t see any MIDI interface at all. If you accidentally blocked it, allow MIDI access again from your browser’s site settings (usually the padlock/info icon next to the address bar) and reload the page.

Click Find Devices to grant this page MIDI access, then pick your interface from MIDI In and MIDI Out. Leave MIDI In set to (none) for most tasks - incoming messages while an action is in progress can trigger unexpected changes on the device. Turn it on only when editing Drum Setup, where it lets the console follow what you play or select on the device itself.

If parameter edits don’t seem to be taking effect, click Send XG System On once - the QY70/QY100 may ignore Parameter Change messages until it receives this. This can also be used to reset all voices to default. Be careful to save your work on the device often to avoid accidental data loss.

          QY70/QY100 Device Setup

On the QY70/QY100 itself, go to Menu > Utility > MIDI and set MIDI Control to In/Out, Patt Out to 1~8 or 9~16, and XG Parm Out to On - these need to be set correctly for the device to properly send and receive MIDI with this console.

The header is a setup measure placed before the song that sets up each part's voice, mix, effects and drum edits as they are on the QY, so the file sounds the same on other XG gear. Leave it off for a file with just the performance.
