The early workings of this Yamaha QY100 emulator can be found here: https://github.com/doffu0000/qyomega-emulator
It runs the unit’s own firmware on an emulated CPU, with the screen, panel buttons, micro keyboard and lights all working in your browser. You can load SysEx files, connect MIDI in and out (even to your actual QY100 if you want to use the native sounds), or different soundfonts can be applied if you supply them.
You bring your own QY100 firmware, since it isn’t included. The page asks for your copy the first time you open it.

An invitation for developers:
It’s early. The sound is a stand-in synth and timing is approximate. It’s still in need of in-depth comparison to the QY100 and lacks the devices sounds and presets. I’d love help furthering this project as there are a lot of aspects which need building like: missing hardware (card slot, sound chip), better accuracy, tests, verifying chipset reproduction accuracy, etc… Or there me be some of you that want to begin exploring custom firmware development, or other use cases entirely.
It’s free software under the GPL. Developers, testers and curious tinkerers are all welcome to fork and progress the project.
I don’t know how much time of my own I will have to learn and build on this project but I wanted to lay the ground work and inspire others to get involved. I think something like this is the first step towards making and testing custom firmware for the QY100, which is something I’ve always wanted to see become a reality.
